cleaning a leather suite?
I have a cream leather settee and recently bought some black fluffy cushions I have noticed that some of the dye has rubbed off onto the arm any ideas on how to get it off without ruining it. Help!

- Only use proper leather cleaner. A friend of ours made her cream sofa go pink by using other products on it.
- good stuff have a look at the link
- mine have done that too.i bought the cushions from b+q and they were not cheap either!!
anyway i bought some proper leather cleaner part of a kit but it cost £50,it is good though, even came with ink remover that works!!!
- You have dye transfer from the cushions.
You need a cleaner that has been specifically formulated for this problem.
Maxi Cleaner is a strong detergent cleaner that will clean dye transfer if it has not sunk too far into the finish. If this does not remove it you would have to use stronger solvent cleaners to remove it and in the worst cases would have to recolour over it.
Please DO NOT use Magic Erasers. We have tested these recently and they are likely to remove the finish with the dye transfer so would damage your leather.
