Cozy Suite

UK: Anyone know how much it costs to recover a three piece settee?

I know it depends on what material etc, but can someone give me a rough idea please? There's a two seater settee and a couple of chairs.
It's a Parker Knoll btw.

  1. Go into Plumbs Furnishing....they do it and will quote you a price.
  2. depending on who does it, and material etc, you might be better off getting a new one!
  3. search for a reupholster.

it's quite expensive, we had 1 sofa 2 arm chairs and a few standard chars and it cost about £700 and that was a long time ago, might be more expensive now. unless there good framed furnature, it's not worth doing it.
  4. get a new one. Why do the hussle for something what costs as much when you can get it replaced.
  5. Its very expensive - unless its unique , and antique and real classy, its better to get it done at mates rates by a friendly upholsterer.
  6. Honestly, it's about the price of a new Parker Knoll, particularly if you go in when the summer sales are on. Parker Knoll themselves did operate a re-upholstery service when I looked a few years back.
  7. We got a quote from Plumbs once for recovering a suite and it was the same as buying a new one. There is a company called Lyn Plan or something that specialise in Parker Knoll, they could be cheaper if they already make covers like yours. They advertise in the Sunday supplements usually.
