What is the best dye to dye loose covers of a sofa suite? I'm not sure which type of dye to use to dye the loose covers from my two sofas. The material is a thick quality cotton. Someone suggested dye that you use in washing machine, how would you ensure they were all the same colour as I would have to do 3-4 loads. The suite is a primrose yellow, ideally I wanted cream but obviously that will not work so I thought maybe a brown/beige colour. I am in England so please no answers suggesting foreign products. Thank you. Forgot to metion I will be testing it first on a spare arm cap so it wont matter if it doesn't work. They were from Laura Ashley, the material is a very thick cotton weave. I will try the colour stripper on one of the arm caps and see what happens.

What can be done about marijuana smoke inundating my condo from the suite below? We own a condo covered under the BC Condominium Act. The suite below is owned by a single mother with a son about 18 years old. He and his friends are the "problem" people in the building. When we first moved in we could not have use our balcony or have open windows due to the amount of pot smoking on their porch. Once we pointed out to council that this is common property, they began fining them and they moved the smoking inside. The mother is away long term, and the 18 year old is living alone. He and his friends are smoking so much that our sealed apartment reeks and we ourselves are getting stoned. My wife is severely affected health-wise by the smoke, ending up in bed often. I myself get bloodshot eyes, a headache and find myself overeating. We are both grouchy when it is occurring. It seems this would qualify as a nuisance under tort law, but I cannot afford a lawyer and a court case. Talking does not work, and the police will not attend a pot smoke call.

Hiding cat scratches on my new suede sofa suite arrgghh? My cat has shredded the material on the arms and sides of my new mocha coloured microfibre sofa suite, a 2 seater and a 3 seater of the modern square arm shape. The shredding is the worst on the arm/corners of each sofa, and looks terrible!! I have tried getting some decorative trims to patch over it but I need about 20 metres of stuff and cant find anything wide enough to do the job, or affordable enough. do you find that the warranty almost never covers the first thing to go on your purchase? our lounge suite has a 10 year warranty, but doesn't include the metal actions on the recliners which of course was the first part to act up, i guess i can take comfort in knowing that the foam is covered for the 10yrs. lol!

What are the consequences of not having Product Liability Business Insurance? It seems impossible to get relevant and specific business insurance for the things that really matter - particularly product liability. I have an internet business selling a very wide variety of products/gifts online. My business evidenly does not conform to the criteria that insurers feel are a "nice safe money making bet" for themselves. I work from home until the business is bigger, it sells more than one type of product (not just gadgets/electrical items or clothing etc). A lot of the products are handmade or exlusive. I sell to NAmerica as well as Europe and UK. All of this means I can't get proper prod liablty insrnce cover. So if I can't get insurance, what happens it I continue without it? I have tried so hard over the past year and it just seems impossible, I am not prepared to totally change the business to suite some insurance company, or spend thousands buying a useless policy that covers irrelevant bits when product liability isn't being covered. How do I get rid of the mildew smell in my bathroom? I bought a new house in August and I am so in love with it. Are you surrounded by clutter? What I'm really asking is, do you have too much "stuff?" I am starting to declutter again today and find myself overwhelmed with stuff. Stuff. In fact, from when we moved into this suite from the last suite I have 2 boxes of undisplayed ornaments. I don't mind having little ornaments and trinkets on a few surfaces, such as the top shelf of my desk. But ornaments and "stuff" (there we go again) are overtaking the apt. My dining table is covered with stuff. The funny thing is, I am a very organized person. Things are genreally where they should be, but I am no match for stuff. For the longest time I have only brung into this house what is needed, what we use. What I need to do is get rid of stuff. Share your tips! Anything! What do you do about stuff? How much can I actually put into storage? I've been to flylady numerous times, I'd say she's good for the beginner, but I need something, almost more drastic lol. I think I can do this, I just need to be tough about things that can stay. I am gonna work on that this month. It's something that's been bothering me for a while.

How much does it cost (ballpark) to build a guest house in North Florida if I already have the land? There is some land nearby I'm thinking of buying. They say when you build, you can have one home and one mother-in-law/guest cottage connected to the main house by a covered walkway. But, I cannot afford to build a house right now -- and I can't afford to invest in something I cannot live in. Yet I really want to do this if I can think of a way. I was thinking maybe I could save money by building the mother-in-law suite, living in that for a few years (2 people - no kids), and THEN building the house when I had the money! Or, selling the property with just the guest cottage on site (if I move). If I buy the land (in subdivision/underground utilities, city water, paved roads, etc.), I want to know: 1) Would it really save me money to go this route and have the guest cottage built and not the main house? 2) Could such a cottage be built decently (pref brick/wood floors/ 1 bedroom/ 1.5 bath w. loft & deck) for less than $100K? Can stretches in the leather covering of a couch be simply removed? We are looking a buying a leather lounge suite cheaply. One piece has had something heavy stacked on it during transport. The arm rests have stretch depressions in the leather and probably the under-foam. It would be a good buy if we could be assured we could remove these indentations once purchased. Hi, well Im going to the hairdressers this weekend and i want to go for a different look but i dont realy have a new idea for my hair.I always ask to get my hair layered to about just above my shoulder but im getting kind of bored of that. Can a Psychiatrist legally terminate or refuse to treat a patient covered by Medicare? An elderly acquaintance has a wife who is a life long mental patient with severe alcohol and drug dependency problems. She's been under Psychiatric care continuously since 1960 and been recently diagnosed as Bipolar, but several doctors has repeatedly said, "She is crazy"! This woman has had multiple accidental drug accidental overdoses simply because she has no fear of any drug. Her most recent Psychiatrist has refused to return her phone calls after treating her for about a year. In fact, most doctors have refused to take her on as a patient due to drug addictions and I assume that she is a liability to them. Her husband is considering a law suite, saying that a MD cannot refuse to treat his wife since she is a Medicare patient. I say that a doctor can refuse to treat anyone that he/she chooses. This woman will not follow drug directions and takes too many of any drug that is prescribed to her and when her supply runs out will steal her husband's meds, who is also an addict. It seems to me that physicians are all too quick to prescribe narcotics and tranqs to elderly patients. Granted, the elderly have various painfull illnesses and do suffer from pain, but why are physicians dispensing drugs to them like they are candy? The gentleman is on three different painkillers, one being 40mg. Oxycontin. He is also on Effexor and Xanax. Both he and his wife are continuesly in a drug induced, altered state of mind and their next pill is all that they can think of!
